ME (pronounced Emmy) came from Escambia County in July 2023, She was a stray, weighing 33 lbs.
She was a medical hot mess from day one, with ulcerated masses on her belly, UTI, worms, but was HW Neg and spayed. Tapeworms and UTI got cleared up, along with her ulcerated masses. We were going to remove the masses, but while waiting to do so, a spot in her mouth swelled and we had to go ahead with a dental first. The dental brought news we were not expecting, the mass was oral melanoma which has already spread to one lymph node. She has started chemo in hopes of giving her 6-8 more months with us. The chemo is being tolerated very well, and ME is happy and weighs in now at 40 lb. She is being spoiled, which we hope will make up for the life she had prior to arriving. ME’s medical bills are more than most and sponsoring this sweet girl would be most appreciated!
