Summer is a 10 year old happy hound with a coat as soft as a mink’s and enough love and loyalty to fill her family’s hearts. Summer has had a rough go of it, losing her eyes to glaucoma at the young age of three and later her home (no worries; she has a great family now!). While she does not have a strong sense of direction, there is nothing wrong with her nose. She can easily sniff out a bag of treats on the counter and dances and sings at supper time, bringing her family constant delight. Although recent diagnostics unfortunately revealed a liver tumor, Summer is living her best life with the proper medication and lots of naps, often on her back with her hind feet propped up on whatever surface she can find. Summer teaches us all to see with our hearts!
