Dixie was given up by her grandparents 4 years ago, they just didn’t have time for her and neither did her parents before them.  Being extremely loyal to her people, she was devastated when her grandma walked out the door at her relinquish.  Her new mom was there to accept her into rescue and of course fell in love with her sad eyes.  It took a little bit for Dixie to warm up but once she did she was so happy to be a part of the pack!  Dixie has been living her best basset life in south Florida ever since. 

She loves going to her dad’s shop, visiting her Grams in her apartment, snuggling with her mom, sneaking toys away from her brothers, protecting her couch for her and her dad to nap on and securing the back yard.

Dixie is a sweet sassy girl,  is adored by her family and is hopeful to add calendar girl to her titles!
