Hi — it’s me, Lily, dialing in from the Rainbow Bridge. 

I was my people’s first basset hound, and when they got me they fell in love with me so quickly that they went back four days later to get my sister Zoe.  I’ll let you in on a little secret — Zoe and I were born the same day our people’s beagle Shiloh went to the Rainbow Bridge.  I’ve talked to him since I’ve been here and he told me he sent us to our people to help mend their broken hearts.  I was a little shy, but my people said I was very sweet and gentle.  When I saw them I ran to them with my cute little trot and wagged my tail very quickly.  I loved carrots and my stuffed animals.  When they got washed I’d sit in front of the dryer and wait for them.  And I loved being outside.  I was even accused of being ornery when they tried to get me inside at night — I just didn’t want to miss out on all the fun!  I got Lymphoma and despite my people trying everything including chemotherapy it was my time to take my trip to the Bridge.  But that hasn’t stopped me from wanting to be a part of things here on Earth, including helping senior hounds.  Like my sister Zoe I want to be a calendar hound to help other hounds.
