12 years ago I had a beautiful litter of five Basset boys. One of them named Louis went to a wonderful woman named Kathy who gave him the most wonderful home and she and I became very good friends. Because I am a preservation breeder, I have always let my families know that at any time in their Basset’s life if they need to return their Basset, please contact me first. Unfortunately, Kathy lost her battle with cancer in March. After the talk we had before her death, Louis came back to me, right to the house that he was born in with me, his first mama. I am overjoyed and honored to be able to take care of this beloved 12 year-old Basset for the rest of his life. We love and adore him. I keep reminding him that he was born here and he has fit right in.
Louis says he is so eager to be on the calendar to honor his mother Kathy.
